The one hike in the Dallas area with real hills: 600 acres of cedar-covered slopes and 9 miles of dirt trail with climbs and steps. The Cattail Pond loop ends at a pond full of turtles, and the top of the Escarpment trail looks out over the whole southwest side — a real sense of accomplishment for kids 5 and up.
