A cool canyon at the foot of the Cedar Hill escarpment: shaded dirt trails lead into the canyon and up onto the ridge, dogwoods really do bloom in spring, and the visitor center has a small exhibit area and kids' activities — a good first uphill hike for a 4-year-old.
