A wetland center on the edge of the Great Trinity Forest: several miles of flat trails and boardwalks pass ponds and prairie where you can spot herons, cormorants, and turtles, and inside there are live turtles and snakes plus a kids' discovery area, all for a few dollars.

💡 Tips
Admission is about $6 for adults and $3 for kids (free the third Thursday of each month, check the website), and it's usually closed Monday and Tuesday. Little shade, so bring hats and water; spring and fall mornings have the most birds.
