Anthony C. Beilenson Park in the San Fernando Valley has more than two thousand cherry trees planted around Lake Balboa, a ring of pink from late February to mid-March, with a playground, pedal boats and flocks of ducks on the shore; the closest thing in Los Angeles to a Japanese spring, for free.
