The glass diamond building by Rem Koolhaas is worth seeing on its own; the first-floor children's center has a toddler area, a story room, and lots of multilingual picture books, and riding the escalators up through the red floor is a kid favorite.

💡 Tips
Light rail (Pioneer Square or Symphony station) beats driving; the garage is cheaper on Sundays. A good rainy-day option to pair with Pike Place or the aquarium.
