  • 🚗
    About 80 min drive
From Bellevue · Parking: Lots at each farm (included with admission or $5-10); highways and country roads jam on April weekend afternoons
  • 🎒
    Carrier recommended
    Terrain isn't stroller-friendly; a carrier is easier
  • 🌳
    Little shade
Great on sunny days · Good on cool days · Wind-OK

    Typical visit: 4 hours
    Best seasons: Spring

Every April the whole Skagit Valley turns into hundreds of acres of colored stripes: the two main farms, Tulip Town and RoozenGaarde, have display gardens, tractor rides, and food stands, making it Seattle's most ceremonial day of spring.

💡 Tips
Tickets are about $15-20/person, buy online; arrive before 9am on weekends or go on a weekday. The fields are mud, so wear rain boots and expect strollers to be nearly useless. Daffodils bloom in March; tulips peak in mid-April.
