Woodland Park Zoo's big lantern festival from mid-November to January: hundreds of handmade silk lanterns shaped into life-size elephants, dinosaurs, and penguins, so walking through the lantern forest feels like stepping into a cartoon.

💡 Tips
Tickets are about $25-30/person with timed entry bought online; the lanterns actually look better on rainy nights, so bring raincoats. It's an evening event with a separate ticket from daytime zoo admission.
