Newton's own backyard woods, 67 acres of them: the 1.5-mile loop has several boardwalk stretches through wetland, a 2-year-old can walk half of it alone, a 7-year-old likes checking off the fitness stations along the way, and the exit lands you at a playground.

💡 Tips

The main loop is gravel with a few roots, so a jogging stroller works. On summer Tuesday afternoons the Newton farmers market sets up here, so pick up fruit on the way out. Some boardwalk sections get slick after rain, so hold hands.
