An old state reservation on the Belmont-Waltham line: a small waterfall by the duck pond, a few 300-year-old oaks (the Waverley Oaks), plus a free spray deck and a playground in summer — a 2-year-old can spend a whole morning here while bigger kids hike the woodland trails in the north section across the road.

💡 Tips
The spray deck usually runs June through early September, so bring swimsuits and towels; the main area is flat and stroller-friendly, while the dirt trails in Beaver Brook North have hills. Waltham and Belmont families treat this as their backyard.
