An 1877 stone aqueduct bridge over the Charles River: walk down to the little platform under the arch, shout at the ceiling, and the echo bounces back a dozen times — a 7-year-old will not want to leave. The top of the bridge is the spot for the cliffs and the river bend.

💡 Tips
Under 1 mile total, but there are stairs and a dirt path hugging the riverbank, so use a carrier or a tight grip with a 2-year-old. Pair it with the short Hemlock Gorge loop in Newton Upper Falls and a nearby ice cream shop for an easy half day.
