A 2.5-mile loop around the lake on the edge of the Wellesley College campus: swans and geese live on the water year-round, the far shore is the private Hunnewell estate with its Italianate hedges clipped into geometric shapes, and in fall the maples along the water turn postcard red.

💡 Tips
Mostly gravel or packed dirt, fine for a jogging stroller, but a few narrow rooty sections need a lift. The Davis Museum on campus is free and a good 20-minute rain detour. Head to Wellesley Square for food when legs give out.
