A 3.5-mile fine-sand beach on the Hull peninsula, with slightly bigger waves and cleaner water than the harbor beaches, so big kids ride boogie boards while a 2-year-old splashes in the low-tide shallows; across the road, the 1928 Paragon Carousel is the last surviving ride from the old amusement park, every horse hand-carved wood.

💡 Tips
The carousel costs a few dollars a ride and runs daily in summer, with a small museum beside it on the history of Paragon Park. Arrive before 10am on summer weekends, as the lot fills fast. At low tide the beach is wide and flat.
