New England's largest zoo, 200 acres: in the 35-acre Deer Forest you walk in and hand-feed a herd of fallow deer, the Skyfari chairlift floats you over the zoo to look down on giraffes, and there are chimpanzees, rhinos, a train, and a row of rides — a full-day trip.

💡 Tips
Open April through October; admission is pricey but kids play all day, and packing lunch saves money. Buy deer feed on site, and hold a 2-year-old's hand while feeding. The chairlift and rides cost extra. About a 50-minute drive, so arrive before the 10am opening.
