A 12-acre history village south of the Riverwalk with 30 19th-century buildings: a clanging blacksmith shop, a one-room schoolhouse where kids sit at old desks, and interpreters in long dresses leading old-time games; the Naper Nights summer concerts and Christmas Memories in December are the liveliest times.

💡 Tips
The whole site is open April through October, with only part of it open in winter (check the website); admission is about $12/adult, a little less for kids, free for Naperville residents. You can walk over from the Riverwalk.
