One of the biggest public libraries in Illinois, with a children's department that's practically a small children's museum: pretend-play area, train table, LEGO wall, interactive screens, and rows of picture books, with story times several times a day — the northwest suburbs' agreed-upon first choice for a rainy day.

💡 Tips

Weekend mornings are busy but there's plenty of room; there's a cafe in the building. Non-residents can come play, but borrowing needs a reciprocal card. Ten minutes from both LEGOLAND and Spring Valley.
