The best rainy day in Dallas: five floors of dinosaur skeletons, an earthquake platform, and a track where you race a T. rex, plus the Moody Family Children's Museum on the first floor, a separate space just for under-5s with a water table and a miniature Dallas town.

💡 Tips
Admission is about $25 for adults and $15 for kids, cheaper with a timed ticket online, check the website; there are discounted evenings a few times a month. Hit the children's museum right at opening (fewest people around 10am), then head upstairs. When everyone's tired, picnic at Klyde Warren Park across the street.
