A rare 50-plus-acre stand of old hardwood forest on the north side of Richardson, where dirt paths wind along Spring Creek under tall oaks and pecans — one of the few fully shaded trails in the northern suburbs in summer.

💡 Tips
Mostly dirt and roots, so strollers are awkward; use a carrier for little ones, while kids 3 and up can walk the whole 1 mile themselves. Muddy after rain, so wear shoes that can get dirty. No restrooms, so go beforehand.
