A sandy beach inside the Marina del Rey harbor with no waves at all: shallow, calm water, yachts gliding past, a playground and picnic tables right at the sand, and lifeguards in summer; the ideal spot for a 2-year-old's first time in the ocean.

💡 Tips
Harbor water quality occasionally gets advisories, so check the LA County Public Health beach water quality page before you go. Not much shade, so bring a tent or big umbrella; watching the yachts come back into port at dusk is lovely.
