Six and a half miles of white Atlantic sand on Long Island's south shore; the Field 4 area has a boardwalk, a playground, mini golf and a shaded picnic area, the lifeguarded zone is big, and it is the default when New Yorkers want a real day at the beach.

💡 Tips
On summer weekends arrive before 10am; the lot closes when it fills. Bring a tent or beach umbrella, as there is no shade on the sand at all. Field 6 is less crowded with smaller waves, good for little kids.
