From after Thanksgiving to New Year, the giant Christmas tree at Faneuil Hall Marketplace and hundreds of thousands of lights along the whole pedestrian street flash in time to Boston Pops holiday music, every half hour and free; one show satisfies a 2-year-old, and a 7-year-old will ask for another.

💡 Tips

Shows run roughly every half hour from 4:30pm until 10pm, check the website. Afterward warm up and eat in the indoor food hall at Quincy Market. Weekend evenings are crowded, and weekday dusk is the most pleasant. The blue-lit wisteria trellis at Columbus Park is on the way.
