The most famous apple orchard in Boston's western suburbs: buy a bag and pick your own, with trees low enough for a 2-year-old to reach; lining up for hot cider donuts is required, two hedge mazes (one big, one small) keep a 7-year-old busy for half an hour, and there are hayrides and a pen of sheep and goats.

💡 Tips
Early September through late October, arrive before 10am on weekends or you will queue for parking. The orchard is grass and dirt paths, awkward for strollers, so use a carrier or a wagon. On busy weekends the mazes and hayrides cost extra, check the website. Shelburne Farm next door is quieter.
