The go-to lake walk for families around Burlington: a 3-mile flat loop that is mostly paved, swans and geese in residence all year, turtles lined up sunning by the boardwalk bridge in spring, and a 2-year-old is perfectly happy walking a stretch and watching a while.

💡 Tips
No need to do the full loop; the toddler version is about 1 mile from the Lake Ave lot west to the boardwalk bridge and back. Watching ice fishers when the pond freezes in winter is fun, but keep kids off the ice.
