The Fox Valley Park District's combination of farm, old village, and small amusement park: admission covers the train around the lake, wagon rides, the carousel, and paddleboats, plus pony rides, a blacksmith at work, and sheep to pet — a one-ticket summer day for western-suburb kids 2–7.

💡 Tips
Open daily from mid-May to early September, then weekends for Halloween and Christmas events (check the website); admission is around $10, free under 1. It's hot at midday, so go when the gates open at 10am and bring lunch to eat in the shade.
