The Naperville Park District's nature center, with interactive exhibits and aquariums inside, a nature playground of logs, sand, and boulders out front, and wooded trails beyond where two branches of the DuPage River meet — indoor time, playground, and a walk all in one stop.

💡 Tips
The nature center is open Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday (check the website); the exhibit hall is free. The paved loop is about 1 mile and works with a stroller; the dirt paths to the river get muddy after rain. Look for herons in spring and fireflies in summer.
