Make faces in the funhouse mirror under Cloud Gate, the Bean, then head to Crown Fountain: faces on two 50-foot glass towers spit a jet of water every few minutes, and the shallow plaza below is Chicago kids' free summer splash pad, good for an hour at least.

💡 Tips
The fountain runs from mid-May to mid-October; bring swimsuits, water shoes, and towels. The Pritzker Pavilion lawn has free summer evening concerts you can picnic at with kids, and Lurie Garden has a boardwalk.
