From mid-September to the end of October, the Dallas Arboretum builds a storybook pumpkin village out of more than 90,000 pumpkins and gourds: pumpkin houses, pumpkin arches, and a pumpkin maze, the most famous fall photo spot in Dallas, where kids can clamber over pumpkin piles all morning.

💡 Tips
Admission is about $20 for adults and $12 for kids; buy tickets and prepay parking online, check the website, and arrive before 10am on weekends or go on a weekday. Add a few dollars for the Children's Adventure Garden while you're there. Early October is still hot, so bring water.
