11 real 1800s log cabins under big trees, with costumed interpreters inside spinning yarn, making candles, and grinding corn, and old-fashioned pumps and toys for kids to try; done in an hour, a quiet add-on between the zoo and the botanic garden.

💡 Tips
Admission is a few dollars, check the website; closed Mondays. The gravel paths are fine for a stroller. The Fort Worth Zoo, the botanic garden, and the Forest Park Miniature Railroad are all within 5 minutes.
