A two-story glass conservatory in Fair Park where hundreds of tropical butterflies flutter around the kids, with a little ceremony releasing new butterflies every day at noon; the 7-acre native plant garden outside is free to wander, and spring and fall bring plenty of bees and butterflies there too.

💡 Tips

Admission is about $10 for adults and $5 for kids, check the website; the conservatory is hot and humid, which makes winter the most comfortable time to visit. Don't miss the noon butterfly release. During the State Fair (late September to October) you need a fair ticket to get in.
