Vitruvian Park in Addison wraps more than 500 trees along the creek in 1.5 million colored lights; a 20-minute stroller loop on the paved path takes you over little bridges with light everywhere you look. Free and the closest to the northern suburbs — a 2-year-old's first light show.

💡 Tips
Lit from around Thanksgiving through January 1, from dark until 10pm. Saturday nights have free concerts and food stalls and get crowded; weeknights are quiet. Dress warm and bring a thermos.
