A free hilltop museum that, for kids, starts with a 5-minute ride on a driverless tram up the hill; at the top are the maze-like Central Garden, big lawns to run on, a Family Room built just for kids, and views all the way to the ocean.

💡 Tips

Closed Mondays. The $25 parking is the only cost, and arriving at the 10am opening means no tram line. Free kids' exploration packs and audio guides; there are often free family art activities on weekends. The garden's stream and azalea maze are a 2-year-old's favorites.
