A 130-plus-acre zoo inside Griffith Park with elephants, giraffes (paid feeding), gorillas and California condors; the Winnick Family Children's Zoo lets kids pet goats, and while the grounds are hilly, strollers can go everywhere.

💡 Tips
Admission is about $22 for adults, $17 for ages 2–12, a bit cheaper online; animals are most active at the 10am opening, and with a 2-year-old plan on seeing half. Stroller rentals available. Too hot after 11am in summer, so pick a cooler season.
