Three T. rex of different ages stand in a row in the dinosaur hall, the Nature Gardens out front have a pond and a shrub maze to duck through, and in the spring and summer butterfly pavilion (separate ticket) a 2-year-old can have a butterfly land on their hand; the best big museum for little kids in the Downtown area.

💡 Tips
Admission is about $18 for adults, $7 for ages 3–12, and free for LA County residents after 3pm on weekdays (check the website). Hit the dinosaur hall first at the Sunday opening; pair it with the free California Science Center and park once.
