Frank G. Bonelli Park in San Dimas wraps around the 250-acre Puddingstone Reservoir; the summer swim beach is shallow with lifeguards, and the shore has playgrounds, picnic grills and a flat loop road where big kids ride bikes while little ones watch the ducks and the anglers.

💡 Tips
The swim area is open in summer (check the website for dates) and busy on weekend afternoons; the Raging Waters water park on the lake is a separate paid attraction. In spring the hills are green and full of wildflowers, perfect picnic time.
