A family orchard in Poolesville where you pick your way through the year from strawberries, cherries, blueberries, and peaches to apples and pumpkins, with no admission fee, just pay by the pound, and far quieter than the big farms; goats and chickens in the yard, and in October a tractor ride out to pick your own pumpkin. The most low-key u-pick in Montgomery County.

What's ripe and what's open is on the website home page; weekend mornings have the most fruit. Bring cash or a card and your own containers (they sell them too). You pass through Poolesville on the way, good for an ice cream stop.
