The 90-acre Clopper Lake on the edge of Rockville, with pedal boat and canoe rentals on summer weekends, a lakeside playground, and a 3.7-mile loop trail around the water; little ones can walk a short stretch of shore, watch the ducks (no feeding), and have a happy morning.

💡 Tips
The full Lakeshore Trail takes 2 hours and has ups and downs; with kids, just do the stretch from the Boat Center to the playground. The Winter Lights drive-through display from late November through December is here too.
