The second-oldest children's museum in America, three floors of hands-on everything: the three-story climbing maze at the entrance is a 7-year-old's favorite, PlaySpace is reserved for ages 0–3, the Bubbles area wraps your kid inside a bubble, and there is a whole Japanese house moved here from Kyoto that you can sit inside. The giant milk bottle snack stand out front is a Boston landmark.

💡 Tips
Always buy timed tickets ahead for weekends, and the 9am opening is the least crowded; libraries such as Newton's have discount passes. Friday evenings have discounted admission (check the website). Bring a change of clothes, as the water table area guarantees wet kids. Head to Martin's Park next door afterward.
