Worcester's science museum plus small zoo plus outdoor park: three indoor floors with a toddler area, a planetarium, and a tree canopy exhibit to crawl through, 45 acres of woodland outside with rescued bobcats, porcupines, and bald eagles, and a narrow-gauge train (the Explorer Express) circling the grounds — a little-of-everything full-day destination.

💡 Tips
The train runs seasonally (roughly May through October) with a separate ticket. About a 1-hour drive, so arriving in the morning works best, and bring lunch for an outdoor picnic. Libraries such as Newton's have discount passes. Live animal talks on weekends, check the day's schedule.
