The McCormick family's 500-acre estate: dozens of real tanks parked on the lawn for climbing, a pilgrimage site for every little boy and girl in the western suburbs; beside them are a rose garden, big formal gardens with fountains, a very good playground, and the First Division military museum, free to enter.

💡 Tips
Parking is charged per car and admission is free; summer Friday evenings have concerts. The tanks get scorching in the sun, so go on summer mornings. Closed Monday (check the website).
