More than 1,800 acres of open prairie with straight, wide gravel and paved paths; in summer the grass stands taller than the kids and bobolinks and meadowlarks are everywhere, and in fall it all turns gold. No hills, so a stroller can go a long way.

💡 Tips

There's almost no shade, so go on summer mornings with hats and water. The trails are long but you can do just a short stretch; the Plainfield-Naperville Rd entrance has a big open lawn for flying kites.
