An 80-acre free-roaming wildlife park in Alvin: ride in an open tractor-pulled wagon slowly across the fields as camels, alpacas, deer and zebras poke their heads in for snacks. Buy a bucket of feed and a 2-year-old will giggle the whole way. After the ride there are giraffes and a petting area.

💡 Tips
Admission is about $20 for adults and $14 for kids (check the website); feed buckets are extra, and two are plenty for a family. Go at opening, when the animals are hungriest and friendliest. The tractor ride is sunny in summer, so bring hats.
