A nature center in an old house tucked into a Bellaire neighborhood, where the Discovery Rooms have live snakes, turtles, frogs and specimens to touch. Outside, Russ Pitman Park's old oaks, little prairie and nature playground are made for running around. A mini zoo in southwest Houston that works even on rainy days.

💡 Tips
The park is free all day; the Discovery Rooms have limited hours (usually afternoons; check the website) and may charge a small fee. Family nature programs on weekends.
