A boardwalk amusement park on Galveston Bay: entry is free, the carousel, the little train that circles the grounds and the Ferris wheel are pay-per-ride, and from the docks you can watch yachts come and go and schools of fish waiting to be fed. Rows of restaurants all face the water. Houston families' little Santa Monica.
