Houston Botanic Garden's light-art night walk from mid-November to early January: a trail of more than a mile lined with light installations that change color to music, a fire garden and seemingly endless light tunnels. More artistic and less crowded than Zoo Lights, and flat for strollers the whole way.

💡 Tips
Tickets are about $25–30 and vary by date; buy online ahead (check the website). Entry is by timed slot. The walk takes a little over an hour; bring jackets. Hot drinks and fire-pit marshmallows are sold along the way.
