An outdoor ice rink beneath the downtown towers from mid-November to late January, and the most wintry place in Houston: kids 3 and up can rent skates and push a skate aid on the ice, while little ones who aren't skating can watch the ice, see the lights or head to the playground next door. Free shows and fake snow on many weekends.

💡 Tips
About $17–20 per person including skate rental (check the website). Weekend evenings have lines; the first afternoon session is the least crowded. Bring gloves and jackets, since it's colder on the ice.
