Things to do with kids in Park Slope
Park Slope is Brooklyn's stroller capital, and Prospect Park is its backyard: the great lawn, the music playground, the small zoo, the 1912 carousel and the Lefferts farmhouse are all within walking distance.
A classic weekend morning: breakfast from the Grand Army Plaza farmers market, into the Long Meadow to run, over to Harmony Playground, then feed the goats and ride the carousel at Prospect Park Zoo at lunchtime. On rainy days, walk east to the Central Library and the garden's conservatory; for water, take the subway to Pier 6 at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

💡 Good to know
- Prospect Park's West Drive is car-free on weekends, so strollers and scooters roam; the cafés along 7th Avenue are used to strollers at the door.
