Things to do with kids in Frisco
Frisco clusters its kid stuff around one parking lot: Hope Park playground at Frisco Commons, the new library opened in 2023, and Sci-Tech Discovery Center are all a short walk apart, so sun, rain or 100°F heat is covered in the same spot.
The standard routine: Hope Park and the duck pond in the morning, then into the library's children's area or Sci-Tech's bubble tables when it gets hot. Train fans drive five minutes to old Frisco to stand beside the Big Boy steam locomotive at the Museum of the American Railroad. In summer, Hidden Cove beach on Lewisville Lake is 15 minutes west, or Hawaiian Falls water park in The Colony. In December, the free light show at Frisco Square makes the buildings dance to music.
