Seventeen acres of old woods tucked into a Memorial neighborhood and home base for Houston Audubon: a dirt loop of under half a mile winds through tall pines and oaks to a 1932 log cabin and a little creek with turtles. A great first walk in the woods for toddlers.

💡 Tips
The dirt trail has roots, so use a carrier. Free nature programs and bird walks are often held on weekend mornings. No dogs allowed and no restrooms, so take care of that at home.
