A state park on Galveston's West End that spans both sides of the island: the Gulf side is an uncrowded natural beach with small waves, and the bay side has boardwalks through salt marsh to see herons and little crabs. The restrooms and showers, rebuilt in 2022, are brand new. The top pick for families dodging the Seawall crowds.
