Galveston's most family-friendly beach: a wide stretch of sand at the east end of the Seawall with lifeguards, restrooms, showers, snack stands and a playground. No alcohol and no driving on the sand, and the Gulf waves are small and shallow, so the 2-year-old digs and the 7-year-old chases waves all day.

💡 Tips
On summer weekends, arrive before 10am for parking and a good spot. Umbrella and chair rentals run tens of dollars, so bringing your own canopy is cheaper. Check the Galveston Island Beach Patrol flag colors (jellyfish and rip currents).
