A 130-acre woodland between Tomball and Cypress and northwest Houston birders' secret spot: cardinals and woodpeckers take turns at a row of feeders outside the nature center window, and flat forest paths loop past a 1900s farmhouse and old tractors. Kids can walk for an hour without getting tired.

💡 Tips
The nature center is open on weekends and is cool inside with restrooms, so stop there before the woods. Dirt trails get muddy after rain; wear shoes that can get dirty. Pair it with the little train at Zube Park 10 minutes away (once a month).
